Liverpool entered the 2018-19 season with higher hopes than ever before on the back of their thrilling 2017-18 campaign in which they reached the UEFA Champions League Final and were regularly entertained by the unstoppable Mohamed Salah, who netted 44 goals in 52 games throughout his debut season at Anfield.
Well, Salah’s brilliance has been heavily complimented so far this term after the arrivals of Roma no. 1 Alisson Becker, AS Monaco anchorman Fabinho, dynamic RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita and Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri – four players who will be hoping to contribute to the club’s first ever Premier League triumph.
And Jürgen Klopp’s side are making a very good effort at that and currently sit in joint top of the league table alongside Manchester City with their unbeaten record still intact and, once again, one of the most terrifying forward lines in world football.
Supporters of the Reds will have already secured their Liverpool football tickets this season, and season tickets sold out in a flash once again before the campaign even kicked off, but how much are Liverpool football tickets and are they good value for money?
That’s a question we plan to answer in this article just a few days before the return of the Premier League!
Wanting to be present at Anfield for every single home Premier League, Emirates FA Cup, Carabao Cup and UEFA Champions League match? Taking the prices out of the equation, it’s very unlikely you’d get a season ticket anytime soon.
However, Liverpool’s most expensive is £869, which is an average price in terms of the whole of the top-flight, and their cheapest season ticket is priced at £685. That’s the fourth highest costing season ticket in that category behind Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
In relation to those season ticket prices, throughout the 2017-18 season it cost Liverpool supporters £21.53 for every goal scored at Anfield which is the sixth most expensive in the Premier League – it may look pricey but it certainly is worth it for the intricate football Jürgen Klopp has his side playing at the moment!
When talking about football tickets and good value for money in the top flight of English football, you’d think anything less than £30 is good. However, if you’re living in the L postcode you can get Liverpool football tickets for just £9.
Those are the cheapest in the Premier League and there are 500 available for each match. Liverpool’s most expensive football tickets, costing £59, are 10% above the league average but are placed in Anfield’s new state-of-the-art main stand.
So, are Liverpool football tickets good value? None of the prices the club charge are absolutely ludicrous when you consider the sheer quality on display on the pitch, but it certainly isn’t cheap and purchasing a membership to get that discount is seriously recommended.
No matter what the price, Liverpool fans will make Anfield packed to the rafters once again as they look set to go head-to-head against Manchester City for the 2018-19 Premier League title.
